PRESS STATEMENT BY ICON NIXON CHUKWUKA ODIMBU, CANDIDATE NRM HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE AMAC/BWARI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY FCT
Fellow country men and women, aged and young. Fellow Nigeria Youths, victims of a disorganized and manipulative society, I greet you all spectacularly. I hope my salutations meet you all as well as the dire times permit.
I condemn the postponement of the elections, but urge our teeming supporters to be focused, resolute, determined and patient as we exhaust the next 7days building on our existing strength and getting even stronger. I have just received with great disappointment and disillusionment the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its decision to postpone the Presidential/National Assembly and Gubernatorial/House Of Assembly elections to Saturday, February 23, 2019 and Saturday, March 9, 2019 respectively.
I wholly condemn and deprecate this tardiness of the electoral umpire in the strongest term possible. This news is therefore a huge disappointment to me and to my teeming supporters in the FCT and its extremity, many of whom have come into the FCT to exercise their franchise.
No doubt, this has cost a lot us a great inconveniences, but it is clear that the political class that has governed us years back lack the character, competence and capacity to move this country forward.
Ecstatically, Icon Nixon Odimbu stands out as such leader and with your vote, he will make a drastic difference as FCT is in a dire need of quality leadership, we need good leaders that understands what leadership is about, it is about service not about been served. It is about having a coherent vision guiding the people into advancement.
I have said it before and I am saying it again, the Representation of the FCT is a very serious Responsibility and I am ready for it and it is time. In this wise, I urge the INEC to do the needful and never again allow such nonchalant decisions to play to the field and putting Nigerians in a confusion state.
Thank you!
