President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, March 13, resumed work at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to DailyTrust, while speaking to on the telephone, Shehu said that Buhari would transmit a letter to the National Assembly in order to formally notify the legislature of his return to the country.
“God willing, the letter will be sent there (the National Assembly) tomorrow (today). God willing, Mr President will be in the office tomorrow (today),” Shehu stated.
President Buhari in statement through Adesina said: “In compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the President has formally transmitted letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, intimating the National Assembly ‘that I have resumed’ my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.”
