Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike Sacks Commissioner of Works

The special assistant to the Rivers State Governor on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu, has confirmed in a statement on Thursday that Governor Nyesom Wike, has sacked the state commissioner for works, Harrison Iheanyichukwu.

The sack takes immediate effect as Harrison was directed to hand over to the permanent secretary in the ministry. No reason was given for the action.

The latest development comes a little over a year after Iheanyichukwu took over from Kevin Wachukwu, who was also sacked.
